Shaw methods of recycling:
  • Eco Worx: recycling process of elutriation. It consists of grinding the carpet into a coarse mixture, separating the elements based on their weight using airflow and gravity. 
  • EcoWax: recycling process of dissolution used for performance broadloom. The carpet is chopped into chunks and a natural, bio-based solution is used to dissolve the carpet backing, separating it from the face fiber like pasta being drained in a colander.
